Please join us for the 37th Annual Illinois Council on Continuing Higher Education Conference Wednesday, Feb. 8 - Friday, Feb. 10, at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago—Magnificent Mile. The theme for this year's conference is "Stayin' Alive."
Ray Schroeder and Carrie Levine from the University of Illinois-Springfield are the pre-conference speakers. From 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, they will talk about "The Open Online Future of Continuing Higher Education."
Adam Shames will kick off the conference Thursday, Feb. 9. Shames is an organizational consultant, facilitator, trainer, and speaker whose clients range from McDonald's, Siemens, Panasonic, and the Federal Reserve to educational institutions and non-profits. He is an expert in creativity, teambuilding, and adult learning, and he specializes in live events and meetings that help organizations build cultures of innovation and collaboration.
A former "Teacher of the Year" with a master's degree from Stanford University, Shames is the founder of the Kreativty Network (www.kreativity.net), writes about creativity in his "Innovation on my Mind" blog (www.innovationonmymind.com), and is adjunct faculty for DePaul University School of New Learning.
