Dear ICCHE and ACHE Great Lakes Members:
When news of the Purdue University acquisition of Kaplan University was announced last year, talk generated around what it would take for a for-profit institution to become a nonprofit, public one, including changes required to be assimilated in the Purdue culture. At this year’s ICCHE-ACHE Great Lakes annual conference, we are honored to have Dr. Carolyn Nordstrom, Vice President, Faculty and Academic Resources for Kaplan University joining us for our opening keynote: Why Change in Higher Education Is So Hard And What to Do About It . Her address will frame discussions around the theme of Learning to Change, which will include all types of change, among them organizational change, personal change, program development and improvement, and teaching and learning effectiveness. The conference agenda is attached for you!
Mark your calendars for February 7 – 9th and join me to consider how change, both positive and negative, can be a launching pad for success at your institution. And consider registering for the pre-conference workshop to kick-off the conference experience!
